Light Crisp Waffles




3/4 cup AP flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup oil
1 egg
1 tbsp sugar (brown sugar for deeper flavor)
1 tsp vanilla

variations: add cinnamon, nutmeg, or a bit of canned pumpkin (sub for some of the liquid mix) and pumpkin pie spice to waffle mix; chocolate chips, berries, etc.
